NASMA has officially announced the theme for National Student Money Week 2027 as “Small Steps, Big Impact,” with the campaign set to take place from 1st to 5th March 2027.

The annual initiative, which brings together universities, colleges, and student support professionals from across the UK, aims to empower students to take control of their finances and build sustainable money management habits. The 2027 theme will focus on the power of incremental change, encouraging students to recognise that even small financial decisions can lead to meaningful, long-term outcomes.

Organisers say the theme reflects the realities students are facing in an increasingly complex financial landscape, where gradual improvements in budgeting, saving, and financial awareness can make a significant difference to wellbeing and academic success.

National Student Money Week has become a key fixture in the further and higher education calendar, providing institutions with an opportunity to run targeted campaigns, workshops, and events designed to support students with everything from budgeting and debt management to accessing funding and financial support.

By centring this year’s message on “Small Steps, Big Impact,” NASMA is aiming to shift the focus away from overwhelming financial challenges and towards practical, manageable actions that students can integrate into their daily lives.

The week-long campaign will also highlight the vital role of student money advisers and support teams, whose work continues to have a profound impact on student success across the sector.

Further details, including campaign resources and guidance for participating institutions, are expected to be released in the coming months.
