APDE13
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Annual Professional Development Event (APDE), which will be taking place between 24th – 26th June 2013 in Bristol at the City Centre Marriott Hotel.
The Bristol Marriott hotel has an excellent track record at hosting conferences and is located in the heart of Bristol city centre. A 20 minute cab ride from Bristol Airport or a 10 min walk from Temple Meads railway station, which has good rail links from many destinations.

The event will combine a range of workshops and seminars for all delegates, whether you are new to advice, an experienced adviser or a manager of service. We will welcome exhibitors from stakeholders across the sector and delegates will have the opportunity to network with the leading experts and practitioners in student money advice and student financial capability from across the UK.
Who should attend?
This event will be ideal for money advisers working in students unions, further education colleges and university advice centres, together with advice centre and bursary managers working in higher education and further education. Professionals experienced in delivering information, advice and guidance and financial capability education to students should also attend together with any other professionals wishing to develop and expand their knowledge in this sector.
Workshop Content
We are offering 29 different training sessions for delegates to choose from, including a new 2013/2014 funding update where a representative from each of the cross border funding authorities will be delivering an update to everyone in attendance. There will also be the opportunity to meet colleagues from other institutions, exhibitors and attend the Annual Gala Dinner.

In addition, the NASMA Quality Assurance/CPD working group will be giving feedback and providing an opportunity to discuss the development of the NASMA accreditation programme and how we measure Quality Assurance.
Exhibition and Information Area
In addition to our extensive training programme, we will once again offer an exhibition area. This will allow delegates to receive information and network with specially selected partners from across the industry. Location
Situated in the heart of Bristol City Centre next to the impressive Cabot Circus complex, the hotel boasts excellent conference facilities and has a fantastic proven track record for hosting conferences for large national organisations. It is only a 10 minute walk from Temple Meads railway station and has very convenient air and rail links from many destinations near and far.
Delegate Rates
We are delighted to announce that we offering delegate places at the same rate as last year.
Full delegate rates:
- Early Booking Rate (NASMA members only) – £460
- Standard Rate – £500
- External Rate – £595
The 2013 full delegate rate will include three days of training, two nights accommodation, refreshments and all meals during APDE, delegate brochure, and entry to our Gala Dinner.
If you require accommodation on Sunday night, this will cost an additional £100
Day delegate rates are £125 (member) and £175 (external) and a further £140 if you require bed and breakfast accommodation.
For anyone not paying the full delegate rate you can attend the Gala Dinner for only £40.
Booking Your Place
Early bird bookings for NASMA members will open on Monday 25th March 2013. To benefit from the early bird rate, places must be booked and paid in full by 19th April 2013.
External bookings will also open on Monday 25th March 2013.
Bookings for the event will close on Friday 17th May 2013, or earlier if all spaces are filled before this date.
Online booking will be available. Payment will be taken by Paypal or via invoice.
